Business Development Manager – NSW/ACT

A national leader in data‑centre and structured‑cabling products is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across the NSW/ACT region. This role suits a technically strong salesperson who enjoys winning new business and working closely with contractors and industry professionals.
About the Role
You’ll manage a large, high‑potential territory with thousands of existing and unmanaged accounts. The focus is on new business development, contractor engagement, and project‑based solution selling across fibre, cabinets, structured cabling, AV, security, and connectivity products.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business and grow existing accounts
- Engage Tier 1–3 contractors and technical stakeholders
- Conduct regular customer visits and structured weekly call cycles
- Identify project opportunities and manage the full sales cycle
- Provide technical product discussions across fibre and structured cabling
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and CRM updates
- Strong fibre infrastructure background (external/plant fibre essential)
- Knowledge of structured cabling and data‑centre hardware
- Proven business development experience
- Ability to engage contractors and technical decision makers
- High energy, hunter mentality, and strong commercial acumen
- Negotiable base salary dependant on experience, plus car allowance and uncapped commissions
