A respected multinational manufacturer of medium‑voltage switchgear and power systems is seeking a National Sales Engineer to drive growth across Australia. This role suits a true hunter — someone who thrives on autonomy, builds deep technical credibility, and consistently uncovers new opportunities in complex industrial markets.
The Opportunity
You’ll take ownership of national business development across EPCs, mining, oil & gas, utilities, electrical contractors, and major infrastructure and renewables projects. Working with a broad portfolio of MV products and prefabricated power solutions, you’ll identify opportunities early, shape customer thinking, and convert concepts into commercially successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across key national verticals.
- Build strong relationships with EPCs, contractors, OEMs, and end‑users.
- Represent a full MV product portfolio including switchgear, RMUs, substations, and E‑houses.
- Lead technical and commercial discussions with customers at all levels.
- Manage opportunities from concept through to contract negotiation and award.
- Work autonomously to plan, prioritise, and execute sales activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver accurate proposals and customer solutions.
About You
- Electrical trade or engineering qualification (mandatory).
- Strong technical knowledge of MV power systems and components.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building new markets.
- Highly developed commercial acumen and negotiation capability.
- Confident communicator, able to engage effectively from site level to executive level.
- Self‑driven, persistent, and comfortable working with full autonomy.
