Technical Sales Support Engineer – Automation

A rapidly growing automation business is seeking a technically strong automation professional to take ownership of tendering and technical sales support. This role is ideal for a commissioning or integration engineer who enjoys the commercial side of automation and wants to step into a high‑impact position.
What You’ll Do
• Own the tendering and quoting process end‑to‑end
• Review scopes, identify risks, and prepare accurate costings
• Translate complex automation requirements into clear, commercially sound proposals
• Support sales activity with technical insight and accurate tender preparation
• Help remove the bottleneck currently limiting sales growth
What You Bring
• Trade background + engineering degree (ideal)
• Hands‑on automation experience — commissioning, integration, testing
• Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, drives, instrumentation, and control hardware
• Ability to independently prepare tenders and identify scope gaps
• Commercial awareness and strong communication skills
